The fifth annual Fannin County Sports Hall of Fame Induction Banquet was held at the Fannin County High School cafeteria in Blue Ridge on Saturday, April 22, 2017. The meal was catered by Shane’s Rib Shack of Ellijay for the fourth consecutive year.

The 2017 induction class includes eight individuals and one team. The individuals honored are Blanche Smith Ganues, Jean Henry Zachary, Winston Beaver, Bill Stephens, Scott Burger, Chris Williams, Suzianne Green Pass and Alden Acker. The team inductee is the 1986 Fannin County High School Baseball Team.

The inductees are pictured below in the same order (left to right beginning with top row) as listed above. Blanche Smith Ganues is deceased and her plaque was presented to her son, Fred Ganues Jr.
