Fannin County Sports Hall of Fame Athlete of the Year
From time to time the Fannin County Sports Hall of Fame Board shall bestow an Athlete of the Year Award. This award will not necessarily be given every year, but will be presented periodically to currently active or very recently active amateur athletes whose accomplishments are considered by the Board to be extraordinary. Suggestions for possible recipients of this award may come from Board members or any member of the public. Criteria to be used in considering athletes for this honor shall include the following:
- Athletes who have received Region, State or Conference awards.
- Athletes who have achieved record-setting performances.
- Athletes who have earned extraordinary achievement awards within their arena of competition such as Most Outstanding, Most Valuable, All-Star and other such recognition’s of excellence.
- Athletes who have earned seldom achieved accomplishments within their area of competition.
